About me
My name is Jamie Koch. I am a native from the Saint Louis area, but love calling Northwest Arkansas home. I live in Bella Vista with my husband and our 2 dogs, Libby and Shelby. In my free time I enjoy playing with our dogs, reading novels, rooting for the Saint Louis Cardinals, watching Denver Broncos football, and bike riding. I love all of the outdoor activities, beautiful scenery, and opportunities Northwest Arkansas has to offer.
I am originally from O'Fallon, Missouri, which is a suburb outside of Saint Louis. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Missouri, just outside of Kansas City. After long term subbing in a 3rd grade classroom for a semester in Missouri, I discovered my real passion was in Special Education. I moved to Arkansas in May of 2013 and began attending graduate school. In December of 2015, I obtained my Master's in Special Education from the University of Arkansas.
This is my fourth year as a Blackhawk in Pea Ridge, and my second year working full time at the high school. I previously had experience in the district as a paraprofessional and have taught in the primary, middle, and high school. This year I will be teaching Special Education Math and Science and Resource Algebra and Geometry.
